Become a Certified Fire Door Inspector

DoorCheck Foundation Competency Training

This training is covered in a one day course and provides an overview and understanding of fire doors and their components, including inspection, certification, regulations and maintenance. On completion of the course a certificate of competency and a fire door inspection manual will be issued.

Training courses are held at our new London training centre but can be arranged at your own premises depending on the number of people attending.

DoorCheck Advanced Fire Door Inspector Training Course

Once you have been awarded a DoorCheck Foundation Certificate in Fire Door Inspection (allows you to carry out inspections and reports for your company) you will be able to apply to become an Advanced Certificated DoorCheck Fire Door Inspector.

As an Advanced Certificated Inspector you will be able to work independently, provide inspection certification and carry out inspections of fire doors. This is an essential part of any fire risk assessment required by law to be done by a building’s responsible person or agent. Once you have qualified as an Advanced Fire DoorCheck Inspector you will be able to benefit from:

  • Issuing industry recognised certificates
  • Job leads
  • Belonging to a nationwide scheme
  • Continued support

In order to become an Advanced DoorCheck Inspector, you first have to successfully complete the DoorCheck Foundation Certification and pass the examination which we can facilitate at our training centre or at your work place (min 7 persons required in attendance). Once this is completed you are then able to proceed to the Advanced Certification by submitting a completed fire door inspection report that meets the DoorCheck criteria (details will be provided on request).
